Un romantico muro di fiori bianchi/ A romantic wall of white flowers

Nella mia casa al mare non sapevo proprio cosa mettere sopra la testata del letto. Poi ho pensato che questi fiori, suggeriti dal blog di Ilaria Ida, realizzati con i rotoli interni della carta igienica e dipinti di bianco potessero dare un tocco molto romantico, soprattutto se abbinati allo specchio con cornice classica  che ho ridipinto e al lampadario ikea ps Maskros.
In my home by the sea I wanted to give a romantic touch to the bedhead. So I thought to these flowers,suggested by Ida's blog, and made with the internal rolls of toilet papers. I painted them white. 

I fiori si realizzano tagliando a fettine il rotolo interno della carta igienica. Con 5 fettine si formano 5 petali che vanno incollati insieme con colla a caldo. I petali pieni sono realizzati inserendo una foglia di carta all'interno del petalo.The flowers are made cutting slices of the inside of the toilet paper rolls. 5 slices are 5 petals that are glued together with glue gun. The full petals  are made by simply adding a "leaf" of paper inside each petal.

Direi che ci mancano solo un paio di farfalle di Gabry A., in attesa che arrivino a destinazione... ;-)

I think that these flowers needs some of Gabry's butterflies to be completed... waiting for them... ;-)

Come fare dei bellissimi fiori di carta giapponesi / Kusudama paper flowers

Le immagini parlano da sole. Si chiamano Kusudama, sono dei fiori fatti con la tecnica dell’origami, con i quali in Giappone vengono realizzate le Kusudama balls, ovvero delle sfere di fiori di carta. A me ha colpito il fiore in sé. Lo trovo bellissimo e, udite udite, la realizzazione è facilissima. Ho cominciato a pensare agli infiniti utilizzi di questi fiori per decorare le nostre case. E allora, che ne dite di provare a farli anche voi con questo tutorial passo-passo che ho preparato per voi? Poi però voglio vedere i risultati, quindi non esitate a mandarmi le foto dei vostri capolavori!!

Occorente per un fiore:

5 quadrati di carta colorata di 10 cm per lato

The images speak for themselves. They are the Kusudama flowers, made with origami. In Japan they make kusudama balls, that are balls made of these paper flowers. I like the flower. I find it so nice, and it’s really easy to make. I can’t think of how many possibility of decorating our houses we can do with these flowers. So what are you waiting for? Try to do the flowers with my step-by-step tutorial. Then I will see your results, so don’t hesitate to send me your masterpiece!

For one flower you need:

5 squares of coloured paper sheet of 4’  per side

Glue gun

Piega il foglio in due unendo due angoli opposti. Risulterà un triangolo.  

Fold the bottom corner to the top. This will make a triangle.

Piega l'angolo sinistro sovrapponendolo a quello in alto. Ripeti la stessa cosa con l'angolo di destra.

Fold the left and right corners up to the middle corner.  This makes a square.

Riprendi l'aletta di sinistra e piegala in due, facendo in modo che il bordo dell'aletta si sovrapponga al bordo del lato obliquo del quadrato di sotto. Ripeti la stessa cosa con l'aletta di destra. Il risultato dev'essere come quello nella foto. 

Fold the same points down. The folded edge will line up exactly on top of the outside edge of the square.

Riapri l'aletta di sinistra, infila l'indice all'interno e poi schiaccia lungo la linea centrale. Ripeti con la destra.

Open up the flaps you have just created and flatten them.

Piega in avanti le punte superiori delle due alette. Le alette andranno a costituire i pistilli interni.

 Fold the top triangles towards you so they are level with the edges of the paper. (This will result in 3 little petals on the inside of your petal)

Ecco fatto! Questo è il primo dei 5 petali di cui sarà costituito il fiore. Ripetere l'operazione con altri 4 fogli.

You're done! This is the first of five petals of the flower. Repeat with the other 4 squares.

 Per tenere il petalo arrotolato unisci le due alette mettendo un po' di colla a caldo. 

Put some glue on the internal part of the two sides of the petal to join them together. 

Unisci i petali fra loro mettendo un po' di colla fra uno e l'altro.

Join two petals together putting some glue between them. Go on the same way with the other petals.
