Una tenda in corda e conchiglie per la casa al mare / A curtain with rope and shells for my home by the sea

A curtain made with little things: rope and shells collected on the beach to shield a window on the patio. It is made by attacking ten strings, side by side on a stick cane. Then, tie the  horizontal strings, and finally tie the shells. The effect is very natural.

Come ho fatto?
I gave this nice jewel case to my friend Rosa  for her birthday.  On the cover I put some leaves and flowers collected and dried between the pages of a book. But the most interesting thing is the inside cover that I decorated with the verse of a song by his favorite singer, Luciano Ligabue. The verse was first printed on the veil of a napkin. How did I do? Simple: I attached the veil along the edges on an A4 sheet to steady it, and then I pull it into the printer.  I assure you that is a very nice way to personalize a gift for a friend you love.

CUPCAKES!

Belli o buoni? :-)

Un mare turchese! / A turquoise sea!

I have made these paintings with some Ikea frames by inserting marine subjects inside. They are in my bedroom, in my home by the sea.

This hat is a wonderful memory of my honeymoon in South-East Asia. One of those things that you buy  without thinking and then, once back home, say, "What can I do with it?". After many years a lonely rose has come to seek the colonial hat and together they created a perfect romantic match! Now it is hanging in my daughter's room!
Il mio candelabro shabby chic! / My shabby chic chandelier!

Due piccoli cuori / Two little hearts

Shabby chic passion!

Sometimes it takes very little to create a shabby chic corner: ikea Sockerart as a pitcher and a bouquet of peonies.
Le meravigliose finestre dell'Alto Adige! /Wonderful windows in South Tyrol!

La casa al mare di Ida / Ida's home by the sea

La tazzina bianca é datata 1530! The white cup is dated 1530!
Questa piccola credenza é stata restaurata in chiave shabby chic! Non è deliziosa? / This little cupboard has been restored in shabby chic style! Isn't it delicious?

My friend Ida has furnished her house by the sea with unique furniture full of charm, some of them bought, some other inherited from his grandparents, barons of Calabria.

One of my recent works is the so called "Quilt of memories"! Why memories? Because I realized it with  my son's old t-shirts. It wasn't particularly difficult, but it took a lot of patience to baste.
I had an old quilt that I didn't like and  I sewed the t-shirts on it after sewing each other. I believe the result is good and the idea too! What do you think?
