Un orologio molto alcolico/ A very alcoholic wall clock

Torno a scrivere dopo un po' di tempo. E lo faccio con questo post su un lavoro che ho fatto oggi pomeriggio. Avevo bisogno di creare qualcosa per non pensare almeno un po' al vuoto che inevitabilmente sento. Così ho pensato di dare un nuovo look a un orologio da muro che era stato regalato a mio figlio e che per i suoi colori troppo sgargianti non avevo mai utilizzato. Gli ho dato una base di acrilico bianco per coprire l'immagine che c'era prima. Poi ho guardato nel mio baule delle meraviglie, dove conservo tutto il materiale del fai-da-te, e fra le varie carte da decoupage ne ho trovata una proprio carina che riproduce le etichette di vini e liquori. Il risultato credo sia buono...la colla era ancora fresca quando ho scattato la foto!

I'm back to writing after a bit of time. And I do it with this post about a work that I made this afternoon. I needed to create something, I needed not to think for a while to the emptiness  I inevitably feel. So I gave a new look to a wall clock I had never used. I gave it a base of white acrylic to cover the image that was there before. Then I looked in my chest of wonders, where I keep all the equipment of do-it-yourself, and among different decoupage papers I found a nice one   reproducing the labels of wines and spirits. I think the result  is good...the glue was still fresh when I took the pic!
